Recently I was performing a slow mixing of two different liquids of different viscoities. I noticed that when liquid "A" was added to liquid "B" a drop at a time, with a stir bar creating a small vorex, lines appeared as the drop of liquid "A" was pulled into liquid "B". The appearance of the lines / mixing is described by a word and I do not remember the word. Does someone out there know what the word is?

I am fluent in both Greek and English, and I am interested in becoming a translator of children’s literature. More often than not, I find that my daughter’s books are not translated correctly and it frustrates me to see that words are being used incorrectly.

Does anyone have any experience in this field? How can one get a job? Where, would it be a publishing company? Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I’m going to a book store today and would like to buy some books by Plato and Aristotle, but I’m not sure which translations are best. For Plato, I’ve heard that Allan Bloom is good, but that’s all I know.

"Best" is a matter of opinion and different people will have different criteria

some might think the translation closest in meaning to the original best

others might think the one most easily read was

personally i would go for one that you are comfortable reading – one that is simple enough that it doesn’t give you headaches trying to understand it but not one written for someone half your age. browse through a few and pick the one that you think suits you best

As it says in the question how many weeks into the 3rd trimester does your mucus plug start to come away I ain’t sure of this as its my first pregnancy.

No my baby shouldnt already be here if im due October the 5th.

toasteda.. – in the uk 5-10-09 means 5th October not 10th May.

Sometimes the plug doesn’t come away until you are in labour, sometimes as early as 35 weeks.
