Trains O Scale – A Christmas Tradition

April 15, 2010 - 7:04 am No Comments

A valued custom for families is when the Holiday season comes around and their train set come out of the box and are used to design a wonderful holiday scene.  With a Christmas train yard the whole family becomes involved.  A couple of people will work on  the trains, brushing the rust of the train tracks, the engine oiled and the transformer attached and functional.  The rest will go to work on the village setting that is placed about the train layout.  These will be houses, stores, and farms and any other backdrop that fits.  Fake snow,  vehicles, people, Santas and farm animals improve the overall look of the layout of the trains.

When it is all set up, their imaginations take them into the life of the Christmas train display, some will imagine they are the conductor as they run the train, others envision what is going on in the various houses in the town. Families can picture together as they play with their trains.  Every year, there might be a brand new set up, giving lots of pleasure to the family who build this community for their Christmas season.  This family will be easy to buy gifts for, either with some more train things or adding to the community.
