When I listen to this I get the idea of nuclear war (even though I know its really about the sun) I mean the part where he says Its the brightest star I think of a nuclear missile taking off from a silo while people watch its descent into a huge explosion and the part where he sings the world counts to 10 loudly like its a countdown idk so much I could see relating to nuclear war…

Decx1001: You’d be surprised at how well you can fit something in another language to a beat if you use archaic word endings and don’t use a precise translation. Probably won’t sound quite as good as the original, but it would certainly still work.

it doesnt work in english because the words dont fit very well, it sounds much better in german. basically because it fits. The grammar is also much different than the wording and language of german so none of it would ryhme anyway and the sentences and verses would be of totally different length, this would make it sound stupid if it were sung in english.
