Trinitarian doctrine was expunged from all modern Bible translations and deemed a fabrication to the text?

Did you know that the only verse in the entire Bible that explicitly mentions Trinitarian doctrine (1 John 5:7) was expunged from all modern Bible translations and deemed a fabrication to the text?

It’s a spurious verse. It simply doesn’t exist in earlier documents.

And this is far from the only part of modern day bibles that haven’t survived the light of scrutiny. There are whole chapters that are of questionable origin.

That’s the major reason I don’t use the King James Version.

Except the bible mentions Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Father.. up, there ya go! A Trinity!

That’s because the oldest manuscripts containing that verse did not include the phrase "and these three are one."

It’s still in the footnotes, though, which is probably where it was before a scribe thought it was part of the original text and added it in.

1 John 5:7 was not "expunged from modern bibles". It was never part of the original. Regardless, we do not need to go searching the bible for the Trinity. It is part of Christianity and always has been.

Did you know that people who believe they exist for a reason are exploited and kept in trouble by those who believe in nothing, and nor do they need any self justification for their actions.

I am aware that the Catholic Church considers Tradition and Scripture to carry equal weight and are to be understood as informing and supporting one another. From their perspective the doctrine of the Trinity comes from the Tradition side of the equation. They see the Protestant reliance on Scripture alone as simplistic and uninformed. Kind of like handing a medical text to someone and expecting them to function effectively as a surgeon from reading it alone.

    1) Trinitarian doctrine was expunged from all modern Bible translations and deemed a fabrication to the text?

Not in any of the bibles *I* own.

    2) Did you know that the only verse in the entire Bible that explicitly mentions Trinitarian doctrine (1 John 5:7) was expunged from all modern Bible translations and deemed a fabrication to the text?

First: it’s a reach to claim that this verse explicitly mentions Trinitarian doctrine. It’s an even bigger reach to claim that this is the only biblical verse that explicitly mentions Trinitarian doctrine. For example, this clearly indicates that all three are "persons" (with "names" or "titles" – something that is not given, for example, to an arm or leg or some other "part" of a being)
